Sophomore GES major Skye-Anne Tschoepe won an award from Sigma Xi, a scientific honor society, to advance her thesis work studying the impact of an artificial wetland on road salt contamination of ground and surface water at Boone's Greenway. Skye-Anne was the only undergraduate to be awarded a grant in the Geosciences category. Her work is advised by professor and chair Bill Anderson.
