We are pleased to announce the donation of the MOVE software package to the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences by Scotland-based Petroleum Experts Limited. This industry standard software package, which is valued at $2.76 million, provides tools for three dimensional analysis and geophysical and structural modeling of deformation of Earth's crust. Tools in the software package aid in cross section construction, three-dimensional model building, kinematic restoration, geomechanical modeling, fracture studies, and stress analysis. The department appreciates the donation of this software and the opportunity to make MOVE available to faculty and students for research and teaching.
