Liutkus-Pierce and Zimmer's Study on Ancient Human Footprints Published in Scientific Reports

Dr. Cynthia Liutkus-Pierce and Brian Zimmer's study on ancient human footprints in Engaro Sera (Tanzania) was recently published in Scientific Reports. The research study, titled "Snapshots of human anatomy, locomotion, and behavior from Late Pleistocene footprints at Engare Sero, Tanzania" was ten years in the making and a collaborative effort with colleagues from Campbell University, University of Albany, City University of NYC, Chatham University, Smithsonian Institution and Aura Health. Six of our undergraduate geology students, now alumni, also helped with the research: Katelyn McGinnis ’11, Seth Hewitt ’11, Kaylee Barket ’13, Travis Hartney ’16, geology major, Lauren Richardson ’17 and Grant Montieth ’18.
