Dr Gregg Marland, adjunct faculy in Geological and Environmental Sciences, was quoted by the Washington Post in an article about the online retailor Amazon's efforts to cut its carbon emmissions. Dr Marland's work with the Appalachian Carbon Research Group helped quantify Amazon's greenhouse gas emmisions as being comparable to those of a small developed country like Denmark or Switzerland.
