Faculty Senate unanimously passed a resolution pushing Appalachian administrators to commit to becoming a climate-neutral campus by 2035. GES professor Scott Marshall worked with other faculty to author the resolution and push it through Senate. The resolution includes specific targets and recommendations the University could enact to achieve these goals. This action highlights the desire of the Department and University to take concrete action on issues related to anthropogenic climate change.
